Simple Trans-Illuminator Base VL-DIA-A

Introduction

This base is shown in early documents for the OM system, but it was discontinued after a few years. It had a plane mirror whose position could be adjusted with a rod extendng from the side of the base. It came with short metal arm rests. It did not include a lamp, so it had to be used with an external lamp and a transformer. There was a blanking plate at the rear which could be removed to allow a lamp to be postioned behind the base.
