The Zuiko Macro 20 mm f/3.5 lens and the Zuiko Macro 38 mm f/3.5 lens do not have the normal OM lens bayonet mount. Instead, they have a small screw-thread mount (RMS – Royal Microscopical Society – thread, 0.8″ diameter, 36 t.p.i.), the same as microscope objectives. They require the PM-MTob adapter to enable them to be fitted to the Auto Bellows.
The PM-MTob was also used with the manual PM-BD35 bellows that were part of the original version of the PMT-35 Manual Photomacrographic System.

The PM-MTob can also be used to adapt any standard microscope objective to the Olympus OM bayonet fitting.
This adapter is not intended to be attached direct to a camera body.
The PM-MTob was also part of an arrangement for connecting an OM body to a microscope with an Auto Bellows and a PM-SDM Light Shield Tube.

Adapters that allow lenses with an RMS screw fitting (such as the Zuiko Macro 20 mm f/3.5 lens, the Zuiko Macro 38 mm f/3.5 lens and many microscope objectives) to be fitted to bellows or extension tubes for most SLR and mirrorless cameras are available on eBay.
Adapters are also available for fitting RMS screw-fitting lenses to T-mount adapters.
Instructions were not provided with the PM-MTob.
