You can attach a ring flash to a lens that is mounted on a reversing ring with the aid of the retrostep rings manufactured by SRB Film Service.

Lighting is shadowless but flat.

Cannot be used at short working distances because light misses the subject.

At high magnifications, likely to be underpowered.
